Can I place a deposit on a puppy through the website?

We are not currently taking payments through the website. Please contact us to place a deposit on a puppy or to make a final payment.


What forms of payment do you accept?

Paypal, Zelle, Venmo, Cashapp, or cash are all accepted payment methods for reserving a puppy or making a final payment. NO checks will be accepted.


Are the puppies all in one place?

No, each puppy stays with his or her breeder until they find a home.


Where are you located?

Our office is located in Fredericksburg Ohio. However no puppies are kept at our location, instead they all stay with their breeders until they find homes. Our breeders are scattered all over North East Ohio.

How can I schedule a visit to meet a puppy?

Please contact us directly if you would like to schedule a visit to see a puppy. You can do this by going to our “Contact Us” page, giving us a call, or messaging us on Facebook.

How does shipping work?

  1. Fill out an application on the puppy you want. Once accepted we will contact you via email or by phone.

  2. Place a non-refundable deposit on the puppy to reserve him or her.

  3. Our team will organize transport for you and give you details about pick up time, cost, and how your puppy will be transported (truck, car, or plane).

  4. The transport company will contact you with an ETA the evening before the pick up day. This is after they get their route established.

  5. Your new puppy will be brought right to your home unless you have arranged a different meeting location before hand.

  6. The remaining payment for your new puppy can be paid in CASH at the drop off time right to your transporter. If cash is not an option for you, an electronic payment can be taken the day before the transport company picks up your puppy from the breeder.

  7. During drop off there will be a few documents for you to sign such as your Bill of Sale and your puppies health guarantee.

  8. Now you are free to enjoy your new furry companion!


How do I know i’m not buying from a puppy mill?

We always tell people that the best way to know for sure you aren’t buying a puppy from a puppy mill is to go out and meet the puppy and its breeder in person before purchasing a new puppy. However we do screen each of our breeders before advertising for them. They each go through an approval process and held to a high standard. We evaluate each breeders cleanliness, vet screenings, their dogs conditions, happiness of the dogs, and we always check that the area the dogs are kept in is a good environment for happy, healthy dogs.


How can I leave a review?

If you would like to leave a review on Ohio Country Puppies or on your breeder, you can do so by going to our reviews page and filling out the form at the bottom of the page. What will our new puppy be sent home with?

This highly depends on your breeder. However each breeder is required to send each puppy home with at least these few things…

*Registration Papers (if applicable)

*Vet Records, shot records, deworming schedule

*Bill of Sale and Health Guarantee

*Microchip Info (if applicable)

*Vets Contact Information

*A Baggie of Food


What are your hours?

We do not have set hours. We will answer the phone anytime of day, but if we are busy working with a breeder or are out of the office we may not respond to your message immediately, but we will get back to you ASAP. As for our breeders, they are all very flexible. Before coming out for a visit we will confirm with the breeder. We are on EST so even if it is 5 o’ clock in the afternoon for you, we may be asleep. However we will get back to you as soon as we wake up!
